Cholwill Plant has been providing tools and plant hire for over 35 years, servicing customers across Devon from our base in Holsworthy. We have an extensive range of plant, tools and equipment for hire which can be collected or delivered to site. Our customers include one off DIY'ers through to farmers and construction companies. From our base in Holsworthy we can deliver to Bude, Okehampton, Launceston, Torrington, Bideford and Barnstaple.

Dave and Hilary Cholwill established the company in 1988 with just one 1.5 ton digger and a dream. In 2004 they expanded the business and bought Reeves Hire, merging the two together. For 35 years they dedicated themselves to building and providing a professional but friendly, family run hire company with great success. In 2023 they made the decision to retire and we at PAL Rentals bought the business from Dave and Hilary.

We are James and Tim, a father and son team with decades of experience in the construction industry, recently as owners of A39 Skip hire. We have been around construction and agricultural plant for many years and saw Cholwill as the perfect opportunity for us.
